Ok just really quickly… this is an actual photo I took with my iPhone on Friday!!!!! Yes I used a filter so you could better see the color of the trees, and I don’t take it back. I’m so freaking heart eyes about it. Autumn in Utah is my drug of choice.
This weekend was so incredible. We tried Chalk the Block, which is one of my favorite Provo events of the year, but unfortunately the rain that I loved so much kind of ruined it. It was still fun to bundle up the babes and breathe in some crisp fall air though. We followed it up with a delicious BBQ to watch the Utah game, and then a similar cozy BBQ with my family on Saturday for the BYU game. I wore boots and leggings and cuddled with my favorite people and ate lots of good food and watched the clouds and rain. I’m feeling 100 about it.
Have you noticed how many more Pumpkin Spice items have popped up this year? It’s like companies heard the call of basic white girls everywhere and they’re giving us what we truly want. I still don’t know why Diet Coke, the patron saint of basic white girls, hasn’t come out with a pumpkin spice seasonal flavor but I guess there’s still time.
I truly believe that you can’t completely relish an experience unless you painstakingly plan, list, anticipate, geek out, and then finally execute the experience. I can’t fully enjoy fall if I don’t make and plan an exhaustive list of my favorite fall activities. I’m a really fun person to be married to. Can’t wait for Reese to grow up and discover her mother is a nightmare.
I’m starting to get better about my bucket lists, though. Like pumpkin carving? It’s on every fall to-do list. But I hate it. It legit makes me gag and it’s messy. Pass. And there are things I want to do this fall that aren’t exclusively *aUtUmN* activities either. That’s ok. There’s no point in making the world’s most designy, most basic bucket list if you don’t actually want to do any of those things! So farewell, apple picking. So long, hayride. This is MY bucket list, so get to steppin. (My autumn inspiration & pins here.)
My Fall Bucket List
- Take Reese to a pumpkin patch
- Drive up Provo Canyon or do the Alpine Loop to see the leaves! (better do this p soon!)

Girl, I found an unreal fall lippie last year and it’s changed my life. Also, will be doing all of these things as well. Lists make the holidays ~better.
That is my kind of fall list! it’s still a million degrees here in sc and i think i might burst into tears any second about it. i am DONE with the heat!! GIVE ME SOME FALL AIR!! I’M DYING.
Whew! Anyhow, love your bucket list! And amen on the fall candle — been burning one all weekend and it makes me feel so good (even tho i have to blast my AC. kill me now).
I have never actually carved a pumpkin, so I kind of want to try it. The thought of it though, makes me feel a tad queasy. Also have never seen Once Upon a Time, but I love fairy tales so that should probably change.
