Happy Star Wars Day Everyone!!!! One of my favorite days of the year. I always wear Star Wars clothes and spend as much of the day as possible watching all of the movies. This year it may just be Episode VII on repeat because I’m still not over it. It was SO. GOOD.

I know that most people have already settled into their camp when it comes to Star Wars. Either you’ve watched them and enjoyed them, or you don’t really care and will continue not to care regardless of what I have to say. But that’s not gonna stop me from saying it.
Star Wars means so much to me! It’s incredible! It’s an amazing story with fun and varied characters. It’s adventure, comedy, romance, sci-fi, suspense, and inspiration. Don’t you roll your eyes at me.
This year Star Wars has taken on an even deeper meaning and level of gratitude for me, as they released Episode VII. Not only was it a FANTASTIC movie, by basically all accounts. It featured a strong, powerful, smart, brave, gifted girl at it’s center. The next Star Wars movie – Rogue One, does the same. From Princess Leia comic books, to every Star Wars picture book we can find, to the cartoons, to the movies. Reese knows.
And I just feel so happy that I’m raising my daughter in a world where Star Wars and kicka** female role models exist. Even if they are in a galaxy far, far away.
