I pictured this outfit as a great option for Christmas Eve OR New Year’s Eve because nothing says party like gold! You really can’t get away with flashy gold clothing very often, but the last few weeks of the year completely welcome it!

This is another one of those items that I purchased wistfully last year when I was super pregnant, hoping that ONE DAY I would be able to wear it. And I just really want to thank pregnant Danica for thinking of me, and for buying this amazing skirt because it’s everything I hoped and dreamed.

The Beard, Reese, Glen Coco, and I are actually celebrating OUR Christmas Eve tonight! Pretty much every year that we’ve been married we’ve done our Christmas Eve on Christmas Eve Eve (since we’re at my family or his family for ACTUAL Christmas Eve), and I kind of love that tradition. And I know what you’re thinking – it’s not just because I get some presents early. I like it because one day our family will be big enough that we’ll have our own Christmas Eve ON Christmas Eve, so we’re practicing. We open up jammies, have popcorn and hot cocoa, and we watch The Nightmare Before Christmas in a blanket fort by the tree. And this year it will be cuddling our little Reester Bunny! I’m so excited that my jaw is aching from gritting my teeth so much.
