In case you don’t follow along on snapchat (dholdy), I was going for a Blake Lively-esque vibe with the scarf around my head. Also trying to cover up my unwashed, messy bun. 50/50. The girl at Pretzelmaker compared me to an old lady at the country club so I kind of feel like it was a “miss.” I do love combining leopard and plaid though. Can’t stop won’t stop.
Plaid button-down: Cotton On, Leggings: Forever 21, Boots: Forever Young, Scarf: unknown?
Every SINGLE year I’m reluctant to pull on my tall boots. I opt for ankle boots most of the time. I think it probably started when I was teaching and my tall boots got too warm. Then when I was pregnant tall boots made me feel like I wanted to die, so it was farewell to my riding boots until this season. I forgot how much I like them! They’re a short girl’s dream. I feel like they make my legs look 20% longer.
Onesie: Carters, Pants: Old Navy, Moccasins: Wright Design Co., Bow: Yasmi & Crew
But seriously I am obsessed with the holiday bows I got from Yasmi & Crew. Wait until you guys see the gingerbread one. GINGERBREAD.
Also featured on snapchat yesterday was what a DUMMY I am for deciding crawling 10 month old Reese was a good time to try out some pristine white pants. Between the snow and mud that got tracked into my house, her flinging flecks of formula (+3 alliteration) during the long line at Forever 21, and the bits of pretzel she happily enjoyed at the mall these pants were DESTROYED by 5 pm. I’m an idiot.
The good news is that my Christmas shopping is 98% done! I have a couple of small things to buy here and there, but it feels amazing to be mostly done. I haven’t been this excited for Christmas probably since I was 8 years old. I didn’t really even take much time to think about what I wanted because I was much too focused on the irrational pile of stuff we keep getting for Reese (A TAMBOURINE! A MINNIE MOUSE TSUM TSUM! A HEDGEHOG OUTFIT! BABYLIT BOOKS!). I’m gonna make a baby gift guide because what else would I do with all this extra stupid knowledge of baby stuff? In the meantime here’s MY Christmas List.
