Whether you’re a November 1st or Day After Thanksgiving advocate, I think we can all agree that it’s officially Christmastime. Can we give it a rest with the whole premature Christmas war next year? Geez am I getting tired of all that crap. Decorate when you want and shut up about it, amirite???
Anyways this Christmas is a big one. I have a baby! And yeah, she’s not gonna remember this. But I am. And I am gonna squeeze every little drop out of this holiday. I’ve thought a lot about this over the last two months and here is my holiday game plan:
+ Take approximately 1,000 pictures of Reese’s First Christmas (first snow, meeting Santa, decorating the tree, blah blah, as you can tell she’s unimpressed) and make a photobook of it. I’d like to do this with all of my babies and then pull them out every Christmas to reminisce/cry about.
+ Temple Square lights #basic
+ Make & Deliver Christmas cookies. Or maybe R2-D2 cookies because I saw those in the grocery store last week and I like them a lot better.
+ Watch the First Presidency Devotional in jammies with hot chocolate!
+ Give Back – this year I’m going to sponsor a foster kid. It’s not much, but I love buying presents!!!
+ Give myself a sparkly, festive Christmas manicure
+ Make a Christmas Craft (some cute ornament magnets for my bestie Katie’s craft exchange next week – can’t wait!!!)
+ 12 Outfits of Christmas! I was looking at the events and activities I have for this month and did what my brain naturally does – started planning outfits. I pulled out all my red, green, glittery and Christmas-y items and started laying out potential combinations. And then I thought “Hey. I could blog this.” because that’s how us bloggers think.
SO. Starting on Tuesday December 8th, every weekday until Wednesday December 23rd I will post a holiday outfit. Some are for various parties (ward, friend, family) and some are for holiday activities (seeing the lights, shopping, pajamas). Really I just love dressing for the holidays, and outfits in general, so I want to share and see what everyone else is wearing too.
I would like to invite any and all of you to join me! Email me if you’d like to swap blogs for one of the days, or come link up! I’ll have a linkup at the bottom of each post, or you can email me in advance and I can include your link and/or picture in my post for whatever day you would like.
Yes, Reese will obviously be participating because yes I have purchased no fewer than 6 Christmas outfits for her already. I’m that mom.
Let the holidays begin!!!!!!

I love that I’m not the only one that thinks about outfits in her spare time.
